How do I start a free trial?

Simply click on our “prepare and send a quote” or “get started free” buttons and create a user Id and password, no credit card details will be asked for until you are ready to upgrade your account.

How do I upgrade my account?

From “My Account Dashboard” click the “upgrade account button” in the left-hand menu and choose the price plan to suite your needs.

How do I enter or edit my business details?

From “My Account Dashboard” click the “business details” button in the left-hand menu, you can then enter or edit your business details, click “Save” at the bottom of the sheet when you are done.

How do I upload my company logo?

From “My Account Dashboard” click the “business details” button in the left-hand menu and click the “choose file” button under “Company Logo” and follow the instructions.

What if I am VAT registered?

From “My Account Dashboard” click the “business details” button in the left-hand menu, scroll down the form and select “Yes” to the VAT Registered option, your quote labour and materials will then all be displayed net and VAT will be shown at the bottom of the customers quote.

How do I start or create a quote?

From “My Account Dashboard” click the “My Quotes” button in the left-hand menu, then click “create new quote”, simply work through the stages in the left-hand menu- entering dimensions, quantities and making selections. Save each section when complete. You will be able to edit, add or delete sections as required. Pricebuilder will build a detailed, professional quote as you go.

How do I enter or edit a client’s details?

From Dashboard select “My Quotes” then select the quote whose client details you would like to edit, select “client information” from the left-hand menu under settings, you can then edit the client’s details. Remember to click “save” at the bottom of the form.

How do I add a description to a quote?

From Dashboard select “My Quotes” then select the quote whose description you would like to add or change, select “Quote details” from the left-hand menu, you can then edit the project title, add or edit the project description. Remember to click “save” at the bottom of the form.

How do I add or edit notes for a quote?

From Dashboard select “My Quotes” then select the quote whose description you would like to add or edit, select “Quote Details” from the left-hand menu, you can then edit or add notes specific to this project. Remember to click “save” at the bottom of the form.

How do I add a section to the quote?

From your quote click on a stage from the left-hand menu, enter quantities, dimensions and make selections to suite your project when the stage is complete click save and Pricebuilder will update the quote.

How do I edit/delete a group or item in a quote?

Hover over the group or item to reveal the delete or edit options, from here you can edit descriptions, quantities and rates or delete an item or complete group.

How do I add an item which is not in Pricebuilder?

In your quote, each stage has an option to “add Line” this enables bespoke quote items to be added with bespoke quantities and rates. It is also possible to add bespoke provisional some items using the “Provisional sums” stage in the quote menu

How do I adjust the labour costs?

You can set the default labour costs which will be used for all quotes from the date set or adjusted- from “My Account Dashboard" click “Default Labour Rates” from the left menu, change the rates to suit your business and click “save".

In an individual quote click “Labour Rates” from the left menu and change the rates, click “Save” and the labour rates will be adjusted for the individual quote all other quotes will remain on your default labour rates.

Can I change the rate or description for a single item?

Yes, Hover over the item in a stage to reveal the edit and delete options, choose edit and you can change the description, rate and quantity. Remember to click “save” at the bottom of the form.

How do I set or adjust the profit on labour and materials?

In your quote select “Profit Calculator” from the settings menu on the left, set the profit rates for labour and materials to suit your requirements, will be able to see your projected profit for labour and materials. Click “Save”, PriceBuilder will automatically update the quote with the new settings.

How do I preview, download or send a quote?

In order to preview, download or send a quote you will need to have upgraded to a paid account, you will then be able to use the “Preview Quote”, “Send Quote” and “Download Quote” buttons on the right of the quote.

How do I change my password?

From “My Account Dashboard” select “Account Settings” from the left-hand menu, you can then change your password... Remember to click “save” at the bottom of the form.
